We email you every day with a single button — your daily check-in. As long as you tap it, your letters stay private. You decide how many days of silence count as "no longer here" — anywhere from 3 to 30. When that threshold is reached, your letters are delivered.
What if I miss a check-in by accident — on holiday or in hospital?+
You set the inactivity window yourself, so a single missed day is never enough — most people choose two to four weeks. We send gentle reminders as the window closes, and you can pause or extend your check-in any time. On a paid plan you can also name a trusted contact, who confirms you've truly passed before anything is delivered — so a holiday or a hospital stay can never send a letter early.
Can I edit a letter after I've written it?+
Yes. Until delivery, every letter is yours to revise, replace, or remove entirely. Drafts are private to you and encrypted at rest — even we cannot read them.
How are my letters stored?+
Each letter is encrypted at rest. Letters stay in your archive — they only leave us when your inactivity window is reached, at which point they are sent to the recipients you chose.
Once a letter is sent, who can read it?+
Only the person you wrote it for. Each letter is delivered privately, by email, straight to the recipient you chose — not posted anywhere, not shared, and never visible to anyone else.
Will my family be charged after I'm gone?+
No. Your account is closed at delivery. Recipients receive their letters at no cost, ever.
Is this a will or a legal document?+
No — and please don't use it as one. Last Letter is only for personal, heartfelt messages. It is not a will, a legal record, or estate planning, and it shouldn't be used to give instructions, name beneficiaries, or replace advice from a solicitor. Keep anything legal with the right professional; keep the love here.
