It started with a question I couldn't shake: "What if I didn't wake up tomorrow?"

Like many of us, I've written half-finished goodbye messages in my head. I've imagined what I'd want my wife, kids, and close friends to know. But I never wrote them down — because who wants to prepare for their own death?

And yet, we prepare for everything else.

We save passwords. We set vacation responders. We write wills — if we're lucky. But when it comes to the most important thing — our last words to the people we love — we leave it to chance, or worse, never say them at all.

Last Letter was born out of that emotional disconnect. It's not just a tech project. It's a space to say the things that matter, before you can't.
